I just had a strange, strange dream. I was sitting in my yard, and this mean bald guy wouldn't let me leave until i found an example of physics (i dont know why). Anyway, i sat there and watched. Nothing moved in a parabolic arc, nothing fell and accelerated to the ground at 9.8 m/s squared, and there were no elastic collisions to be seen. I sat there in perfect stillness as did everything else in my dream. I began to grow nervous, was i gonna be stuck there in the yard forever with the bald guy? As it turns out, i ended up growing very old and dying in my yard. When i woke up a few minutes ago, i realized that Newton's first law definitely applied. There were no forces taking place, so all objects at rest (everything) remained at rest. Duh!
